Our main base is 100% Falkland yarn, and is specifically milled for Indie String in Michigan.
 
Our yarn is hand dyed and we feature many semi-solid and tonal colorways.

Falkland yarn comes from the Falkland Islands and is of superior quality. There isn't a breed of sheep that is know as “Falkland”, instead the yarn is named for it's environment. The Islands raise Polwarth Sheep (an cross-breed of 75% Merino and 25% Lincoln bloodlines). Lincoln sheep are said to produce the longest (staple length of up to 6 inches) and most lustrous wool/fleece of any breed in the world. Purebred Merino sheep are also raised on the Islands. Falkland Yarn is a product of all of the sheep on the Island.

Falkland yarn is naturally pest free and therefore pesticide free, making it usable by many people that are allergic to the pesticides in other yarns.  

Our yarn is washed in natural, hypoallergenic soap for anyone that may be sensitive to smells and detergents.
